Women’s March and the JCCSF Present
Join us for the second in a series of targeted panels designed to increase our community engagement and education efforts. Be part of this conversation featuring speakers from various women’s organizations to discuss the challenges they face during the new administration. Gain resources and learn how you can help. Panel speakers include representatives from Global Fund for Women, Mujeres Unidas y Activas, NARAL, National Center for Lesbian Rights and Transgender Law Center.
Come early to the JCCSF!
Starting at 6:00 pm, write and send postcards to your representatives and the White House; we've got supplies and we'll take care of postage! There will be a number of community organizations present to answer your questions and provide resources.
This event is part of a series of panel conversations over the next year dedicated to answering the question: “Now what?” These community panels will be designed to foster greater connections between citizens and organizations dedicated to promoting civil liberties, human rights, equality and justice. Come to learn more about the history of these organizations, the services they provide, the state of the nation and the legislative battles we will face and, most importantly, what ordinary citizens can do to help. Stay tuned for more information, and join us on May 9!
