Parenting in Uncertain Times: Talking to Your Kids About Race (Berkeley)

Parents and Caregivers: Please join us for this dynamic presentation by child psychologist Dr. Allison Briscoe-Smith. Attendees will gain an understanding of basic developmental awareness of children in regards to race, a grasp of what implicit bias is and how it impacts our children and support in thinking about HOW we want to engage with children about the topic of race.

Allison Briscoe-Smith, PhD is a clinical psychologist who specializes in young children, trauma and race. She is a professor at the Wright Institute and spends much of her time supporting schools and non-profits in their work on trauma and cultural accountability. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and received her clinical psychology Ph.D. from University of California Berkeley.

This event is a fundraiser for Help a Mother Out. Suggested donation $15-$25 per person. Tax deductible donations, large and small, are most welcome. RSVP is required as space is limited.
